When it comes to
antiquated media perhaps no publication
represents old traditional marketing and media
thinking than Ad Age. Sure they have stories once
in a while about social media and brand but
somehow these stories are more about PR than
connecting the dotted lines to ROI and brand
objectives. Now Ad Age would have us believe that
consumers don't trust friends on social media
sites. Without an understanding of how consumers
use social media in shopping this story is just
more hot air without substance.
